93 children were invited to visit Whitehouse Farm Centre in Morpeth on 13th June, together with their carers to enjoy Variety’s ‘Great Day Out’. The children came from 10 schools from all over the North Region.

The Farm is Northumberland’s largest family farm attraction and a great place for school groups to visit. Children had a guided tour of the farm along with handling and feeding a variety of animals from traditional breeds to unusual and exotic species!

It was a full day of activities which included meeting reptiles, holding rabbits and guinea pigs and stroking anything from a snake to a skunk and watching meerkats and owls! There was something for everyone including a tractor ride and an adventure play area. The children were also given a packed lunch with food of their choice.
