We are thrilled to celebrate the generous donation of a brand-new 17- seater Variety Sunshine Coach, from Richard & Patricia Caring on behalf of The Caring Family Foundation. 

This remarkable gesture follows the Caring’s ‘Chief Barker’ Silver Heart Award at the 2024 Variety Showbusiness Awards, where they were honoured for their outstanding philanthropy.

The Caring Family Foundation is committed to transforming the lives of women and children, with a special focus on tackling child poverty, deforestation, and domestic abuse in the UK and Brazil.

The Sunshine Coach rolls in!

Laurence Guinness, Chief Executive of Variety Children’s Charity, officially received this 17-Seater Sunshine Coach from The Caring Family Foundation. 

Richard Caring, from The Caring Family Foundation said:

I have supported children’s causes for as long as I can remember – the innocence of a child is something we must protect and cherish. I have been fortunate to have children of my own and I feel a sense of duty to support as many children as I can, in whatever capacity they need. Our foundation seeks to support families and communities in crisis and provide opportunities for a brighter and more stable future.

Harehills Primary School

Harehills Primary School is based in Leeds, and is located in one of the highest levels of disadvantage in the UK. This brand-new 17-seater coach will give over 700 children at the school access to incredible opportunities.

Mrs Willshaw, Headteacher at the School, said:

We would like to take our children out to visit the countryside, like the Yorkshire dales. We also have a vast amount of after school clubs which need transport, including football, netball and cricket. With this Sunshine Coach, 730 children would be helped over 12 months!
