Festive Fun at the North Pole Bash
Pupils from Orchards School and St John Vianney School attended the Variety Christmas Party, where they met The Elf on the Shelf® Scout Elf Mascots, played games, and celebrated the festive season. Both schools cater to children with special educational needs and disabilities, providing an environment and curriculum that will help children to thrive.
The party was sponsored by entrepreneur and philanthropist Michael Josephson MBE and global intellectual property company The Luminstella Company. Michael Josephson MBE is a long-time supporter of Variety, while The Luminstella Company’s iconic brand, The Elf on the Shelf, is one of the nation’s most popular Christmas traditions.
Regan Holroyd, Chief Operating Officer at The Lumistella Company commented: “We’re delighted to be back in Manchester engaging with Michael and supporting Variety for the fifth year running. Our company’s philanthropic mission is to positively impact the lives of children around the world. Creating joyful moments is at the heart of everything we do.”
Michael added: “I am proud to be able to make a difference in people’s lives. We have created magical moments in Manchester, and we will make a difference to the lives of so many children in the Northwest.”
Julie Griffin Business Manager of St John Vianney School, said “Our pupils have had the most magical experience meeting the Elf on the Shelf and each child received an amazing goody bag with wonderful gifts. The party was spectacular with so much entertainment and a wonderful disco which they all loved very much. We want to thank Michael Josephson MBE and the Lumistella company for giving our pupils a day they will never forget.”
Gary Anders, headteacher at the Greenfolds/Orchards school said, “Our young children had the most fantastic time at the party and they enjoyed all the balloons, puppeteers, face painting, but the Elf on the Shelf was the biggest surprise on the day along with Father Christmas. We are so thankful to Variety who made this day happen through the sponsorship of Michael Josephson MBE and The Lumistella Company.”
