Variety, the Children’s Charity, Merseyside, presented a Variety Sunshine Coach in honour of legendary Liverpool comedian Stan Boardman to Foxfield School in Moreton, Wirral on Monday 18 March. The Coach will be used by children with special needs.

The money raised to buy the Sunshine Coach came from a “Silver Heart Award” Dinner held to recognise Stan Boardman for his outstanding achievements in the world of comedy and his dedication to Variety. Stan had presented over 100 Sunshine Coaches to schools and organisations in Merseyside.
Stan Boardman said:

“I am delighted and privileged to be presenting the Sunshine Coach in my name to such a worthy school as Foxfield, I know it will help the children to enjoy days out as well as supporting the school’s curriculum.”

Stan Boardman was joined on the day by Variety Merseyside Chairman, Jim Donaldson, Treasurer, Eileen Smith and Northwest Development Director, Lyn Staunton.
