Newark Orchard School Receives Variety Sunshine Coach
Thanks to the generosity of The Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation, the children and staff at Newark Orchard School now have a brand new Variety Sunshine Coach. This is the 57th Sunshine Coach to be funded by The foundation.
Trustee of The Bernard Sunley Charitable foundation, Mrs Joan Tice said:
“We are thrilled to present this coach to the children of Newark Orchard School. The Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation fully understand the importance of this coach and the difference it will make. We hope it brings lots of joy and we very much look forward to hearing of all the places visited by the children using their new Sunshine Coach.”
Clare Stokes, School Business Leader, said:
“We took delivery of our new Sunshine Coach on 7th June 2017 – it is lovely! Now, not only can we visit the hydrotherapy pool regularly and reliably but it can be used for many other trips out and about in our community.
Thank you Variety – your contribution will, without doubt, make a difference!”
Newark Orchard School is a special school that caters for ninety children between the ages of 3 and19 with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
The new coach will be used to transport pupils around a three site school, enabling them to access different facilities as well as taking part in extra curricula activities such as hairdressing training, horse riding and church. The new coach will also be used to take children to and from therapeutic activities.
