Team Variety Raises Over £4,000 at the Royal Parks Half Marathon
Our four incredible runners took on the 13.1 miles in the unseasonably warm October weather. The course winds through four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens. Team Variety had a fantastic time running through such amazing green space.
Eider and Ed were joined by friends and family who were keen to cheer them on from the sidelines. Philip and Rob joined us as members of long-term corporate supporters Mountpark. The logistics property developer has been supporting Variety, the Children’s Charity for over 20 years, hosting an annual charity golf day and raising money for multiple Sunshine Coaches.
Challenge Events and Partnership Officer at Variety, the Children’s Charity, Sarah Phillips said:
Thank you so much to all our wonderful runners for such an amazing fundraising effort. It has been such a pleasure to work with this team and seeing the dedication not only to their training, but to changing the lives of disabled and disadvantaged children.
It was a fantastic day and it was brilliant to see so many smiling faces, even after running 13.1 miles in the heat! I’m so proud of Team Variety and I can’t wait to see you all next year!
