Yorkshire Property Awards Makes A Big Impression On Children’s Charity Funds
Hull-born actress and impressionist, Debra Stephenson, returned to her Yorkshire roots to compere this year’s Yorkshire Property awards which were held on Thursday 9 May at Rudding Park Hotel, Harrogate and raising nearly £140,000 for the Yorkshire region.
The awards are one of the most high profile events in the region’s property calendar. This year over 800 of the region’s best known business figures along and representatives from leading companies and the property sector attented.
Thanks go to our main sponsor law firm Addleshaw Goddard, who presented Trinity Leeds with the Best Commercial Development award in recognition of the recently opened iconic retail centre and GMI Energy, whose aim is to be ‘a leading energy assessor and energy saving technology installer’ awardede the Corporate Social Responsibility Award.
Gerald Jennings from Land Securities was given a Life Time Achievement Award in recognition for his work on the development of Trinity Leeds and for his role as ‘ambassador’ driving growth in the city of Leeds.
Best Contractor went to international engineering form Laing O’ Rourke, with Rex Procter and Partners picking up Best Property Consultant. Best Large Agency Practice was awarded to Knight Frank with Leeds-based Barker Proudlove scooping Best Small Agency Practice.
Ian Leach, chairman of the Yorkshire committee of Variety, the Children’s Charity, said:
