Oliver’s Story
As well as hospital stays, the need for isolation means he often has to spend periods alone in his room.
Oliver’s parents wanted to create a sensory room for him at home so that, in a more stimulating environment, he can begin to improve his development. Variety, supported by corporate partners Travelex, agreed to provide sensory toys for Oliver and a spa bath that helps to ease the pain in his joints.
Oliver has been offered a place in a mainstream kindergarten and his parents hope he can take advantage of this once his chemotherapy treatment is completed and his Leukaemia is in remission.
Oliver’s mum says:
“He’s absolutely loves his sensory blocks. Many thanks to Variety and your sponsors for our equipment.”
