Nine-year-old Olly from South Yorkshire has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and can only walk short distances without pain. In the past, when Olly just had a manual wheelchair, he often had to rely on someone to push him during family dog walks, and it was always a struggle for them to get through woodlands or up hills. He had no choice but to get out of the chair and walk when they came across water.

These days, Olly is loving the freedom that an all-terrain powered wheelchair, part-funded by Variety, is giving him. Now he can explore his natural surroundings independently, do more of the outdoor hobbies he loves and fully enjoy being on the beach during family seaside holidays.
