Daniel, who comes from Staffordshire, is a full-time wheelchair user. Due to his condition, he is now losing upper body strength and has become reliant on others for his personal care. He enjoys reading and writing and hopes to become a published author. He also enjoys playing wheelchair football. Variety agreed to fund a sports powered wheelchair for him in 2018 to improve Daniel’s self-confidence and allow him to compete at the same level as his peers at the club he belongs to. Playing for St. George Knights in the Regional League is his proudest moment to date.
